Future of Morningside Baptist Church
Building for the Future

| In 1981, a small group of believers stepped out by faith and purchased the
initial 6 acres or our property. Since that time, we have purchased an
additional 14 acres. Today, we are reaping the fruit of their faithfulness as
Morningside Baptist is divinely located in the middle of an ever increasing
harvest field. Hundreds of families are moving into our surrounding
neighborhood. We have a tremendous responsibility to reach the lost of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. How are we going to build in-roads to reach our
community? Sports have become an integral part of our society. Sports
evangelism is an avenue through which we will be able to reach multitudes of
families with the Gospel. Our Family Life Center will offer a variety of
opportunities through sports and recreation to present the Gospel to people who
may not yet be willing to attend a worship service, but they will definitely
attend their child's sporting event. The new building will also house
additional Sunday-school classrooms and a larger fellowship hall. Our campaign
is not merely about raising money, nor building buildings. Rather, our campaign
is about being obedient to the Lord with our time, talents, and resources as we
seek to accomplish our mission. What is our mission?
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I
commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
